Enabling IVT Scoring Service (HUMAN)
This guide explains how to enable and configure the Human IVT Scoring Service for your account.
Important:
If you do not already have a Human account, please reach out to your IndiCue representative before enabling this service. Activating scoring without a valid Human account may result in incomplete or inaccurate data and could lead to unintended billing charges.
Step 1: Enable the Human Post-Bid Scoring Service
To begin scoring entities, follow these steps:
Go to the "Tools" section.
Navigate to "Scoring Services."
Click the "+" (plus) icon next to "Human (Post-Bid)" to access the settings.
Step 2: Choose Your Scoring Settings
Once the settings, you have two options for managing scoring limits:
Option 1: Unlimited Scanning (Recommended)
Toggle "Unlimited Scanning" ON to automatically score all entities without restrictions.
Option 2: Set Custom Limits
If you prefer to control how scoring is applied, set specific limits:
Global Daily Cap – The total number of events that can be scored per day across your account.
Per-Source/Campaign Limits:
Daily Scores – Maximum number of scores per source/campaign per day (cannot exceed the global daily cap).
Hourly Scores – Maximum number of scores per source/campaign per hour (cannot exceed the daily score limit).
Best Practices for Setting Limits
To optimize scoring and ensure even distribution:
Divide the Global Daily Cap evenly across all sources/campaigns.
Set Hourly Limits by dividing the daily score limit by 24 (unless traffic fluctuates throughout the day).
Example:
If your Global Daily Cap is 50 million impressions and you have two sources, each source will be allocated 25 million impressions daily. If spread evenly, the hourly limit would be ~1 million impressions per hour.
Step 3: Automatically Enable Scoring for New and Existing Entities
To automatically enable scoring for new or existing sources/campaigns:
You can configure the system to automatically enable scoring for new and/or existing entities:
Check the box labeled "New Entities" to enable scoring for all newly created sources and campaigns.
Check the box labeled "Existing Entities" to apply scoring to sources and campaigns that are already in your account.
When selecting "Existing Entities", you will have additional options to refine your selection:
All Existing Entities – Enables scoring for all current sources and campaigns.
Supply Only – Enables scoring only for supply-side entities.
Demand Only – Enables scoring only for demand-side entities.
Custom Existing Entities – Allows you to select specific sources or campaigns to enable scoring.
You can select both "New Entities" and "Existing Entities" if you want scoring enabled for both new and existing sources/campaigns.
Click "Create" to save your settings and apply the changes.
Step 5: Manage or Adjust Scoring Settings
You can update scoring settings at any time:
Stop Scoring – Temporarily disable scoring.
Delete Configuration – Removes the Human Post-Bid settings.
Edit Scoring Limits – Click the pencil icon to adjust daily, hourly, or percentage-based scoring.
Important Notes
Once scoring is enabled, you can manage and adjust your settings as needed:
The "+" icon will change to a "settings" icon, showing how many sources and campaigns have scoring enabled.
Clicking on "Human Post-Bid" within the scoring services tab, will display a list of all sources and campaigns currently being scored, from that list you can further disable or adjust Human per source.
